Riding the Night (Wild Riders #5)(32)
Author: Jaci Burton

He’d always loved teasing her, said he enjoyed watching her face as he took her to the brink of orgasm. They’d waited so long for sex that those teasing moments between them had meant everything. But now, now she wanted to come, needed to have an orgasm by someone’s hand other than her own—a man’s hand.

She gritted her teeth and held on, dug her heels into the mattress and spread her legs to give him even more access to her.

“That’s it,” he said as he drove his fingers in deep. “Give it to me, Teresa.”

His voice was dark pleasure that sank into her soul, winding her tight and making her spin out of control. She was selfish, she knew it; she wasn’t touching him for any reason other than to use him as a lifeline. His hard c**k lay against her leg and she should touch him, bring him as much pleasure as he was bringing her. She reached between them, searching, but he nudged her hand away and lifted his head.

“No. This time it’s just you.”

“But—”

“Later.” He drove the heel of his hand against her clit and deepened his fingers inside her. A rush of heat exploded from within and she lifted.

“More.”

Her word came out in a whisper, but her lips were tucked against his cheek and she knew he heard her.

“Faster?”

“Yes.”

“Deeper?”

“Yes.”

“Harder?”

Delicious sensation poured through her nerve endings. He mastered her body and she lost herself in his touch. “Oh, yeah. Please, AJ.”

This time she couldn’t hold back. She came with a cry, shuddering against him as she rocketed through her orgasm with an intensity that hit her like a crashing wave. It knocked her senseless, unexpected in both its intensity and the shattering emotion that roller-coastered through her as a result. She held on to AJ and rode it out until there was nothing left but pulses and his fingers dipping gentle and easy inside her.

She sagged against him, relaxed, spent and utterly amazed that she’d been able to do this. AJ had been so patient with her, taking her exactly where she’d needed to go, letting her set the pace until she found what she’d sought for such a long time.

This had been epic.

Take it easy, Teresa. It was just an orgasm, not world peace.

Yeah, definitely time to come down off this high. It had meant nothing—to anyone but her.

AJ kissed the top of her head and tucked her head against him. She listened to the beating of his heart—a little fast. She smiled knowing it hadn’t been just her who’d been affected by all this. Her gaze skirted down his body, landing on his erection that hadn’t yet subsided. She palmed his chest and charted her way down the sculpted planes of his torso, marveling at his flat, muscled abs. He must work out like a demon.

His c**k lay rigid against his lower stomach. That was her target. She skimmed her fingers down . . .

And she spotted Pax leaning against the open doorway to her bedroom, arms crossed and smiling at her.

A million thoughts shot through her head at the moment. How long had he been there? What had he seen? What must he think? Was he mad—or hurt by her and AJ being together?

Teresa scrambled to sit up, grabbed the edges of the robe to cover herself. Pax’s smile grew wider.

“A little late for that, honey,” Pax said. “I’ve seen pretty much everything.”

Her gaze shot to AJ, who shook his head and swept his legs over the side of the bed, running his fingers through his hair as he padded to the bathroom. “Voyeur. You could have said something.”

Pax pushed off the wall and came into the room, then sat on the side of the bed AJ had just vacated. “Now, what fun would that have been? You two were busy. I was enjoying the view and didn’t want to ruin things.”

Teresa struggled to kick her brain cells into gear. “You . . . watched?”

“Yeah.”

She didn’t know whether to be embarrassed, angry or just plain turned on. Pax had watched them, had watched her. She processed that, what had happened between her and AJ, what Pax must have seen. Admittedly, the thought of him standing there watching it . . . okay, it excited her, but she was still mortified.

“Is that what you usually do with your women?”

“No. Usually I participate.”

“Then why didn’t you . . .”

He caressed her leg from her ankle to her knee. “Join in? Give it time, Teresa. There’s no rush.”

AJ came out of the bathroom a few seconds later, still naked, still seemingly unconcerned to find Pax there. Her gaze shifted between the two of them.

She didn’t know what to say. “I’m . . . not used to this.”

Pax’s smile was a ghostly shadow, still there but almost wistful now. “Want me to leave?”

She reached out to grab his hand. “No. I just . . . don’t know what to say about all this. I know what you two do . . . what you typically do . . . with women. I just don’t know if I can be that woman.”

AJ came over and sat on the end of the bed. “No one’s asking you to be anything other than who you are.”

She laughed. “I’m not sure I have any idea who that is.”

Pax got up and Teresa raised her gaze to him.

“I have groceries to put away.”

“Pax—”

But he was already out the door and down the hall. Teresa looked to AJ. “I hurt him.”

“No, you didn’t. He just knows you need space and he’s giving that to you.” AJ climbed onto the bed and sat next to her. “Neither of us expects a damn thing from you, Teresa. So don’t go thinking you owe us anything.”

“But the way you two are together . . . the sharing thing . . . I want to know more.”

He stared at her for a few seconds before nodding. “You want to know something, ask me. Ask Pax. Either of us will tell you whatever you want to know. But who Pax and me are and what we do doesn’t have to have anything to do with you. Or with me and you.”

“But I thought—”

AJ stood. “I’m going to go take a shower. I’m beat from all that riding.” He kissed her forehead. “You should get some rest.”

“But—”

“We’ll talk in the morning, babe.”

He left the room and closed the door behind him, leaving her alone.
